Exposition « La vision du prince. Jacques Rueff, ministre d’Etat du Prince Rainier III. 1949-1950”
Upon his accession, Prince Rainier III personally chose a prominent economist, Jacques Rueff (1896-1978), to be the first of his ministers of state. Enlisted in the Liberation armies at the end of the Second World War, the future sovereign saw him as an officer in the Military Mission for German and Austrian Affairs in Berlin. This choice augured a strong political vision for the Principality in the months following his accession to the throne. In 1949 and 1950, the Prince, together with Jacques Rueff, set the milestones for the decades to come. Thus, the expertise of the architect and urban planner Le Corbusier gave Rainier III his vocation as a builder prince.
