Photography Exhibition - "Monaco and the Tour de France"
Visit the Saint-Martin Gardens (between the Oceanographic Museum and Monaco Cathedral) until 31 August, and you'll find an exhibition of 1x1.5 metre photographs on the fences, looking back at the history of the Tour de France in Monaco (the images are taken from the archives of both Presse Sports, owned by the Tour's organiser Amaury Sport Organisation, and those of the Monaco Government Communications Department). The exhibition explores the close ties that have bound the Principality to the world's greatest cycling race for 85 years, with the country having hosted the Tour on eleven occasions since 1952, and enjoyed "ville-étape" status six times.
