Concert - "150 Years of the de l'orgue des Carmes"
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the historic organ of the Chapelle des Carmes or Carmelite Chapel in Monaco. Built by the famous organ-builder Aristide Cavaillé-Coll in 1873 for the Carmelite Convent of Montélimar, it was moved to Monaco in 1926 and has remained in the Principality ever since. For this special concert, Véra Zvéguintseva, resident organist in Haut-Salat (Ariège) and teacher at the Schola Cantorum, will perform works by Louis Vierne and the Monegasque composer Marc Giacone. Admission to the concert is free.
