To mark the 23rd Week of the Italian Language in the World, the Embassy of Italy in Monaco and the Dante Alighieri society are proud to present the opera recital présentent le récital d’opéra "Tribute to Puccini 100", a foretaste of the major celebrations due to honour Puccin in 2024, with performances by the tenor Francesco Meli, soprano Gabriella Ingenito, baritone Carlo Sguran, and chorus master Dennis Ippolito.

MATEO tango opera

Mateo est un opéra tango du compositeur argentin Martin Palmeri et mis en scène par Carlos Branca. La distribution est composée de sept chanteurs lyriques internationaux, deux danseurs, un quintette à cordes, un pianiste, deux bandonéonistes et un choeur. L'histoire se situe au début du XXème siècle durant la révolution industrielle argentine. Une fresque émouvante où la lutte entre tradition et progrès met en lumière les sacrifices d'un père et les espoirs d'une nouvelle génération. Le rythme du tango et la vocalité de l'opéra vériste se mélangent pour la création d'un opéra dit "grostesco" où humour et tragédie s'alternent harmonieusement.
