European Heritage Days: The Grand Apartments of the Prince's Palace
Under the auspices of HSH Prince Albert II, a project of hitherto unprecedented scope has begun, demonstrating the Prince's commitment to preserving and enhancing his heritage according to an ethic that promotes the rules of sustainable development and the rational management of resources.
Visitors to the Grands Appartements can now follow a new itinerary to discover an original display of paintings from the Princes' historic collections.
Discover the remarkable ceiling of the Salle d'Europe and the new history cabinet; explore reception rooms such as the Salle du Trône and the historic Quartier Royal; contemplate the library with its glimpse of the Palatine Chapel; walk through the Galerie d'Hercule, which recounts the works and exploits of this Greek demigod, as well as allegories of the liberal arts.
