This fiery and passionate reinterpretation of Carmen by Johan Inger has been acclaimed by audiences all over the world, earning the Swedish choreographer a coveted "Benois de la Danse" award in 2016. To take on a legend so deeply embedded in Spanish culture, Johan Inger chose to portray his heroine through the eyes of a child, lending an aura of mystery to the enigmatic spirals of seduction and violence.
