The folk group "La Palladienne de Monaco", responsible for maintaining Monegasque traditions and folklore, represents the Principality abroad.

This folk and mandolin society was created in 1921, following the merger of two musical societies in operation since 1905: "l'Accord Parfait" and "l'Estudiantine", both schools of plectrum instruments. The choreography of the folk dances is based on ancient scenes from the daily lives of fishermen, lemon and olive pickers. In contrast to these rural scenes, certain dances such as the Pas de Deux, Polka, Mazurka, Gavotte and Menuet were danced by Monegasques in the Sovereign House as a tribute to their Prince.

"La Palladienne de Monaco" has often been invited to perform abroad, where she has won numerous awards. Recently, she took part in international exhibitions in Zaragoza in 2008, Shanghai in 2010 and Milan in 2015. In the Principality, "La Palladienne" takes part in Monegasque festivities throughout the year, such as Sainte Dévote, Saint Jean, the Prince's Day, Sainte Cécile, in 2011 the Prince's Wedding and in 2015 the Baptism of the Prince's Children.
