Conversation - "Love Your Body"

How can one love one's body in a society that has for so long sought to conceal and modify that of women? How can one talk about the body when its representation is always subject to a normative view that seeks above all to shape bodies that perform a useful function? The extracts read by Ambre Pietri during this evening will be all about the body, a subject that forms the main focus of the works by Chantal Thomas and Geneviève Fraisse. The meeting will be introduced by Fanny Arama, PhD in 19th century French literature. Organised by Les Rencontres Philosophiques de Monaco, in association with the Théâtre Princesse Grace.
