The Fairy Harp

French
a Harpe Féerique (The Fairy Harp)

Chamber music with harp

Fabrice Pierre, harp (Honorary Professor and Conductor at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Lyon)
David Lefèvre, violin
Katherine Nikitine, piano

Fabrice Pierre, a world-renowned French harpist, stands out for his warm and authentic personality. It is impossible to separate the man from the artist—much to the delight of music lovers charmed by the power and generosity of his performances, and of his students, who have gone on to become concert harpists and soloists with the world's finest orchestras, starting with our own Monte-Carlo Philharmonic! This is also true for his friends and chamber music colleagues. David Lefèvre and Katherine Nikitine, artistic directors of Les Concerts de la Voûte, are particularly pleased to welcome Fabrice Pierre for a concert that promises to be memorable.

Program:

Camille Saint-Saëns: Fantaisie for violin and harp, Op. 124

Claude Debussy: Preludes transcribed for solo harp

Erik Satie: Gnossiennes transcribed for solo harp

Joaquin Turina: Ciclo Plateresco for harp and piano, Op. 100

Gustav Mahler: Adagietto from Symphony No. 5, transcribed for violin, harp, and piano by Fabrice Pierre
