Its author is the Monegasque Claude Passet, born on 5 December 1946 in Monaco. He studied Humanities in Paris (1964-1968) and later in Rome, at the University of Rome and the Pontifical Lateran University (1968-1974), earning a Laurea and Dottorato (specialising in religious science and history). He also holds diplomas in Christian archaeology and palaeography.
