Oktoberfest
Les Concerts de la Voûte invite you to discover a duo of two great violinist friends: David Lefèvre, artistic director of Les Concerts de la Voûte and first violin soloist with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, and Nicolas Delclaud, leader of the second violins in the same orchestra.
They will perform works that are as moving as they are virtuosic, even acrobatic: Eugène Ysaÿe's Sonata for Two Violins, Opus 27, and Jean-Marie Leclair's Sonata for Two Violins, Opus 3.
The charm of the strings, their power and their virtuosity will transport you for an original evening illuminated by their friendship.
Katherine Nikitine will join them on the piano for Five Pieces by Dmitri Shostakovich, transcribed for two violins and piano. You may have heard some excerpts from this during the wonderful ballet The Taming of the Shrew at the Grimaldi Forum at Christmas 2024...
This concert, with its highly original and eclectic programme, follows the emblematic homelands of the festival: Belgium with Ysaÿe - the homeland of beer if ever there was one! - the Lyon basin with Jean-Marie Leclair - another region that promotes friendship and conviviality! - and finally Shostakovich's Russia.
The concert will be followed by a tasting of the prestigious Monte-Carlo Beer, a jewel of Monegasque gastronomy that has begun to carve out an excellent reputation around the world and is a true ambassador of the Monegasque spirit: a taste for excellence, conviviality and art de vivre.
It is an honour for the Concerts de la Voûte team to welcome one of its creators, William Schaeffer, who will present his work and offer you a taste of his iconic Pression Blonde!
Some Tyrolean delicacies will also be available for tasting...
So don't hesitate, reserve Saturday 25 October to celebrate the spirit of festivity and friendship with us!
