Looking back at a professional career, retracing a long intellectual quest, can be an exercise lacking in subjectivity, even clear illusions. How can one flights of personal fancy, false interpretations, the pitfalls laid by the ego? How can one reason fairly when it comes to a journey seen "from the inside"?
