Theatre - "Les poupées persanes - Aïda Asgharzadeh"
This is the story of four university students in 1970s Iran, from the fall of the Shah to the rise of the Islamic regime. It is also the story of two sisters in France, distinctly unimpressed at the prospect of marking the arrival of the year 2000 and the new millennium with their family in a ski resort. It is the love story of Bijan and Manijeh, a mythical couple from Persian legend. It is the story of hope-filled youth, a struggle cut short, a people sacrificed, a maelstrom of secrets, a heritage we know not what to do with, and a love that knows not where to go.
