Exposition “Le Prince bâtisseur. Une ambition pour Monaco”

Through models, plans, photographs, objects and documents never before presented, the exhibition aims to show how Prince Rainier III has durably transformed the face of his state.

In order to build lasting economic prosperity, Prince Rainier III equipped himself with political, legal and constitutional tools that enabled him to build a modern state: a new constitution, redefined relations with France, international openness and the strengthening of tourist appeal through the creation of events that still mark the year in the Principality today.

This exhibition shows how Prince Rainier III was both a part of historical continuity and innovation, even showing himself to be resolutely revolutionary in his approach to urban planning, driven by a single ambition: to guarantee the prosperity and well-being of the people of Monaco, to whom he was bound by a bond of affection as much as by a constitutional oath
