Fort Antoine

Its military architecture, watchtower and the almost total solitude which can be found there, all combine to give it a particular charm.
The stage has been pleasantly arranged with a pyramid of cannon balls at its centre, while the fort's military architecture is emphasised by the pittosporum hedges, which serve as protection where there is no parapet.

Since 1970, Fort Antoine, an olld fort built in the 18th century by  Prince Antoine I on the north-eastern point of the Rock of Monaco, has been transformed into a pleasant green space that hosts performances of chamber music, drama, poetry, and folklore. Every summer, under the starry night skies, Fort Antoine theatre is the venue for an inventive and entertaining programme of concerts, shows, and plays. This year will be devoted to theatre and music. To find out more about what’s happening at Fort Antoine from 2 to 30 July, click HERE.
