One Christmas Eve, young Buddy Hobbs crawls into Santa Claus's sack. On returning to the North Pole, Santa opens the sack to discover the child, and decides to raise him as one of his elves. Years later, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York to learn about where he came from.
With Santa's help, he finds his father Walter Hobbs and his brother Michael. But neither believes in Santa Claus! Buddy takes matters into his own hands, and reminds his biological family - and the whole of New York City - about the true meaning of Christmas.
