L'idea di tenere concerti nella Cour d'Honneur del Palazzo dei Principi è nata nel 1959. L'idea fa rivivere la tradizione secolare dei Grimaldi come protettori delle arti e della musica in particolare.
Si consiglia un abbigliamento da sera - È richiesto un abbigliamento casual (giacca e cravatta obbligatorie per i signori, abito elegante per le signore). Non sono ammessi magliette, pantaloncini, bermuda e infradito. In caso di inosservanza, l'accesso potrà essere rifiutato (non è previsto alcun rimborso).
