Two friends, Octave and Léandre, have each married a young woman of unknown birth with whom they have fallen madly in love. But without the consent of their fathers, Argante and Géronte, who have marriage plans for their children! The sons feel lost and don't know what to do. Fortunately, Scapin, a cunning and generous valet, is there to ensure that youth and love triumph.
