MAPN Exhibition - 50 years of commitment to biodiversity
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the Monegasque Association for the Protection of Nature (MAPN) sets up a photographic exhibition at the Galerie des Pêcheurs, showcasing half a century of commitment to the maritime heritage of the Principality.
Presented from 7 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, this retrospective illustrates the history of the association and its concrete actions undertaken to preserve and promote Monaco’s Marine Protected Areas.
The exhibition, structured around six main themes — protecting, shaping, restoring, studying, innovating, and educating — brings together archive images and current photographs to highlight the major achievements of the MAPN: creation and management of the Larvotto and Spélugues Marine Protected Areas, ecological restoration programs, environmental monitoring, scientific research initiatives, and awareness actions aimed at the general public and younger generations.
Through this retrospective, the MAPN reaffirms its vital role in protecting the marine environment and its commitment to working towards a sustainable future.
